Tesla’s on-board infotainment system used to be powered by Nvidia’s Tigers, then by Intel processors, and now AMD’s APU is coming into the third model line. So far, there has been talk of the Model S and Model X series, where AMD, in addition to chip orders, has also won supplies of separate GPUs (Navi 23), which Tesla equipped with more luxurious lines.
Now – somewhat surprisingly – AMD has managed to get her Ryzen into the Y series. Not widely, so far (?) Within China. Intel is losing the exclusivity it initially had in the Y-Series.

Unfortunately, the information is strict and we do not know what kind, let alone the APU Ryzen model. From the indications so far, however, it can be concluded that it will not be a 7nm product, but with the best 12nm generation. Even more surprising may be that AMD took precedence over Intel. There can be three hypothetical reasons: price, availability (production capacities are a crucial topic today) and graphics performance, which is a significant parameter for devices with a high-resolution graphical interface. However, why the APU was first deployed in China remains unclear.
Although the integrated 12nm APU graphics are at a different level than Navi 23 v Model S and Model X (where Elon Musk boasts Playstation 5-level performance), these APUs still offer at least tens of percent higher graphics performance than Intel processors, whether classic with large cores or mobile Atoms.
