As long as apparently reliable parties such as De Telegraaf, the AD or Bol.com occasionally sell them for little money, I don’t think you can say that everyone who uses this type of license is immediately wrong. Then these types of generally reliable stores would have stopped doing it years ago, right? Although not for 10 euros, but regularly for ~25-40 euros, less than 1/10th of what MS itself asks for the same package. In addition, MS (of course) always states that resale is not allowed, but I don’t think this is explicitly prohibited within the EU as long as you don’t use a resold license yourself.

Business (read: If you use Office in an environment in which you earn money yourself) I would indeed always buy it directly from MS, you want to avoid even the smallest chance of a hassle with one of your software suppliers. But I’ve done it privately so many times through key resellers and I’ve never had a problem with a license suddenly not working anymore, even after ~10 years.

Would be happy to purchase it privately from MS itself for a maximum of about 100 euros for a ‘buy’ version, but the current prices (€ 300 with Outlook) or an expensive subscription with OneDrive that I don’t use is fine with me too far. In addition, support (incl. extended support) has also been shortened from ~10 to ~6 years from version 2019, which means that in addition to this high purchase price, you also have to purchase a new Office package almost twice as often as before. you want security updates. As long as it is not explicitly prohibited by law (so not MS EULA), such as illegal downloading, I will stick with these resellers for Office; but the slightly more expensive one through an AD or Bol instead of the sites.

I always buy Windows privately through MS itself because the prices are just fair for the free upgrades and support you keep getting
