The WHO expects more data on omikron transmission in a few days. The corona variant, which appears to be more contagious, is gradually spreading around the world and has already been identified in more than 20 countries. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned of a general travel ban as it will not stop the spread of omikron.
