Belarus is ready to support Russia in case of an attack from Ukraine

MINSK – If Russia facing an attack from Ukraine, Belarus will support Moscow. This statement was confirmed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“If Russia faces aggression from Ukraine, we will cooperate closely economically, legally, politically with Russia. This is the main thing,” said Lukashenko.

He stressed that he would never side with the “drunk nationalists” that happened in Ukraine today.

“I will do everything to make Ukraine ours. This is our Ukraine, our people there. This is not an emotion, this is my firm belief,” said the Belarusian head of state.

He previously announced his plans to visit Crimea, saying his trip would mean recognition of Minsk as part of Russia.

On Tuesday (11/30/2021), the Belarusian president told Sputnik that Minks would suggest that Moscow deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus if a similar NATO system emerges in Poland.
