The Japanese manufacturer has just released a new firmware for the current generation consoles. Again, we can talk about minor fixes that take up over 900MB of data. Players should not expect any surprising news – the best is yet to come.

Sony has accustomed its community to the regular release of smaller patches that take care of the iconic “system stability”. However, engineers are working to implement the expected features, so more extensive updates are released from time to time. This time there is no question of too much news.
The PS5 firmware with the reference number 21.02-04.50.00 takes 914MB. Despite the quite large size of the file package, the manufacturer limited himself to minor improvements. In the description, we can read:
“This system software update improves system performance.”
It is worth noting that today Sony has also updated the PlayStation Plus Video Pass, but as with the new console firmware, we may not feel any significant differences. The patch only takes 9.44MB.
“After ~ 5 months, a new update for PlayStation Plus Video Pass has been released
Update without patch information, but it looks like the icon and background have been changed
