The family of a young South Florida girl who disappeared while traveling with her boyfriend is asking for the public’s help to help locate her.
Isabella Marín, 21, was last seen by relatives on November 23.
Family members said that Marin, who is known as a gamer and influencer on the Twitch platform, had recently met her boyfriend at a festival in Homestead and started acting strangely.
Marín went to see her mother and stepmother on November 23 and arrived barefoot and full of sand. According to his relatives, he acted strangely and said he was going on a trip.
“She didn’t seem to be herself, she didn’t act like herself,” said her stepmother, Adriana Sauma. “She came to my house, she was covered in sand, she jumped on my bed and it looked like she hadn’t showered or eaten in a couple of days.”
Marín did not say where he was going and the family suspected that he was under the influence of some toxic substance.
Her boyfriend, Israel Del Rosario, said they visited his father in the Suwanee, Georgia area for Thanksgiving and were heading to California.
Del Rosario said that after Thanksgiving dinner, Marín told him he needed to leave and drove off in his own car, a black Kia Forte.
Isabella’s mother said Del Rosario’s father told her there was some kind of argument between the couple.
“He told me that they argued and that she said goodbye to him in Atlanta. That she left him at his father’s house,” said Olga Jarrín, Isabella’s mother.
On Monday, the father reported her missing to authorities in Georgia, at the request of Marín’s family.
“I don’t really know how to feel, he’s someone I love and will continue to love very much,” Del Rosario said in a telephone interview Tuesday.
