Florida is rightly called the Sunshine State. In the southernmost part of the USA, the sun shines almost 300 days a year. The peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico forms a unique natural landscape. The south is dominated by a huge swamp area: the Everglades.
