Fisker presented the final series version of the Ocean electric SUV at the auto show, which took place from November 19 to 28. Not only the appearance of the off-road vehicle with its round, flowing forms and the narrow headlights and taillights caused a sensation at the event. The data and facts about the vehicle, which the manufacturer will bring onto the market in three versions, also make one sit up and take notice.

With the Ocean, Fisker claims to have developed nothing less than the “most sustainable vehicle in the world”, said company founder and CEO Henrik Fisker in an interview with Yahoo Canada As part of the LA Auto Show. The SUV is not only sustainable because of its emission-free electric drive. The entrepreneur and car designer also refers to the “completely vegan interior” and the “recycled” materials.

Three versions of a model: Sport, Ultra, Extreme

Multiple versions of a vehicle also means in the case of Ocean: the individual models each come with their own services, ranges and prices. In the entry-level version, Sport, for example, there is an engine with 275 hp. It should accelerate from 0 to 60 miles / hour (95.56 km / h) in 6.9 seconds and provide a range of 250 miles (402 kilometers). The price: 37,499 US dollars, the equivalent of 33,091 euros.

The Ocean Ultra is significantly more expensive at $ 49,999, but also offers a lot more performance than the basic version. Thanks to a second motor on the rear axle, this model has 540 hp and 340 miles (547 kilometers) of range. The acceleration time of 3.9 seconds from 0 to 95.56 km / h is almost two times faster than that of sport.

So when it comes to performance, there are no worlds between the extreme and the ultra. And yet the buyer will have to dig much deeper into their pockets with the high-end version, it costs an impressive 68,999 dollars (60,879 euros).

Before the Ocean comes onto the market, interested parties have to be patient a little longer. According to reports, the electric SUV will appear at the end of 2022. The Stromer will also be seen on the streets in Germany. It is not far from Austria to get there. The car is made by the contract manufacturer Magna Steyr in Graz. Production is scheduled to start on November 22, 2022.
