For six to eight weeks, Brazilian footballer Neymar will miss Paris Saint-Germain. The striker of the reigning French vice-champion injured his member at the end of Sunday’s Ligue 1 match at AS Saint Étienne (1: 3).
“The investigation confirmed that Neymar has a sprained left ankle and damaged ligaments,” PSG said, adding that he would provide more detailed information about the player’s health within 72 hours.
PSG is the clear leader of Ligue 1 after the 15th round, with a 12-point lead over Stade Rennes at the top of the table. Before the last round of the group phase of the Champions League, he already has an eight-final place in his pocket, in the A-group he will take second place behind Manchester City.
