The part of the year has come again when the word Black Friday dominates all purchases. In the US, for example, this is a period of growing interest in buying consoles. This was not the case this year either, even though the situation is greatly complicated by the lack of available Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. Nintendo could certainly benefit from this situation, but it also worries the lack of OLED Switches. So the imaginary winner of the sales charts during Black Friday became Microsoft.
This was reported by Business Insider, which shared a report from the Adobe Digital Economy Index. It confirmed that Microsoft’s Xbox Series S console outperformed the competition during Black Friday sales this year. The Adobe Digital Economy Index claims that together they analyzed more than one trillion visits to online stores. In our case, however, a survey of more than a thousand retailers is more important to find out which consoles sold the most. However, the exact sales numbers are not published anywhere.
The reason for the success of the Xbox Series S is probably simpler than it may seem at first glance – because, unlike other consoles, it is affordable. A favorable price certainly adds to the cards. Equally deserving was the increasingly popular Xbox Game Pass service, which partially fights the fact that the Xbox Serie S is just a digital version of the new console.
