After a revisited 2020 edition, epidemic of Covid-19 obliges, the Youth Book and Press Fair resumes on Wednesday 1is December 2021 within the Paris-East hall from Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis).
Over 300 exhibitors
This year, more than 300 exhibitors will be present with 180 authors in the program. And for this 37th edition, the show is expanding. “The large small edition market is expanding to present the productions of 50 young people and new independent publishing houses engaged in creation”, presents the show.
Visitors will also be able to discover the exhibition the factory to US, free access. “From eight albums recently published, the great European exhibition of the Salon clears all dimensions of the US”, exposes the show.
For those who cannot move, the Show will be present every day on television. Every day, around ten new literary programs will be broadcast from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on TNT channel 34.
The gems of the show
And like every year, the announcement nuggets, a Youth Book and Press Fair – France Télévisions prize, will mark one of the highlights of the youth edition and of the Fair. This year, 20 titles are competing in four categories: “Illustrated Books”, “Junior Fictions”, “Comics” and “Teen Fictions”. One winner per category will be chosen by a jury made up of 36 children and adolescents.
A jury of literary critics will award for its part the Gold Nugget au to the best book of the year.
From December 1 to 6, 2021 at the Espace Paris-Est in Montreuil. Open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday 1, Thursday 2 and Monday 6 December, until 9 p.m. on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday 5 December. Free for under 18s and students, ticket to book online (5 euros) for adults. Free for all on Wednesday 1, Thursday 2 and Friday 3 December.
