Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Pemuda Pancasila urged the National Police to summon and examine the Deputy Chairman of Commission II DPR, Junimart Girsang.
Head of PP’s Complaints and Legal Defense Agency (BPPH), Razman Arif Nasution said the call was to find out if there was any malicious intent from Junimart over his statement which was considered to attack PP.
“I ask that the Chief of the National Police call the person concerned, give him time to be examined 1×24 hours, ask what he means, maybe he has mens rea the language of the law is malicious intent, lest someone provoke, “said Razman at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday (29/11).
Razman said the summons to Junimart was also to anticipate if there was an escalation of demonstrations from the PP masses.
The reason, said Razman, is that in several areas the PP mass started holding demonstrations to demand an apology from Junimart.
“My question to Junimart’s brother, we have reminded him many times to apologize sincerely. While he knows the effects of his words, his statement has an effect on all media and even international media. It is even linked to the 212 demonstration plan. We are carrying out this action. peace with the procedure,” he said.
Furthermore, Razman said that if the escalation continues, another option that can be taken is to arrest Junimart.
“Now if this escalates further, the choice is to arrest Junimart Girsang, that’s my language. Because he should be suspected of causing noise, anxiety, disturbing the peace and comfort of this country,” said Razman.
For information, some time ago Pemuda Pancasila held a demonstration to demand an apology from Junimart Girsang.
This demonstration is related to Junimart’s statement which said Pemuda Pancasila was an organization that often clashed.
The demonstration in front of the DPR Building ended in chaos and 16 PP members were named as suspects.
Of that number, 15 suspects were charged with the Emergency Law Number 1 of 1951 because they were caught carrying sharp weapons. The other one was subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code for hitting and ganging up on a police officer who was on duty.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the PDIP Central Executive Board (DPP), Hendrawan Supratikno, hopes that the feud between Junimart Girsang and PP can soon find a peaceful way.
He also asked PP to be tolerant, because Junimart had also apologized for his statement which was considered to have hurt the mass organization. According to him, Junimart’s request has been submitted sincerely.
“I think Mr. JG’s apology (Junimart Girsang) was delivered sincerely. So never mind, there is no need to extend it again,” said Hendrawan when confirmed, Saturday (27/11).
