Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu will represent Indonesia in women’s doubles. Despite only occupying the 13th position in the World Tour Rankings, Greysia/Apriyani has the right to appear in the World Tour Finals thanks to their success in winning the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
For information, participation in this tournament is determined by World Tour rankings, not world rankings or rankings. Those who qualify are those who occupy the top eight positions of the World Tour rankings in each sector.
Olympic gold medalists also qualify automatically for the World Tour Finals. However, they must participate in one of the tournaments in Bali, namely the Indonesia Masters 2021 or the Indonesia Open 2021.
Later each sector will be divided into two groups of four participants each. From each group, only the players/pairs in the top two positions will qualify for the semifinals.
