Maskorama, Celebrity | Santa out of “Maskorama”

Another celebrity had to take off his mask.

Last week the Mermaid had to leave «Maskorama», and on Saturday another celebrity had to take off his mask and reveal his identity in front of both the detective panel and TV viewers across the country.

In the end, it was Santa Claus who got the fewest votes, and under the costume there was no one less than Abid Raja who hid.

– Can I get up now, Silje? Raja asked the host, before revealing that he has been squatting during all the live broadcasts to hide how tall he really is and to confuse viewers. His Nordland dialect has also been false.

– I have trained my thigh muscles these four weeks, he added with a laugh.

– To be allowed to be the whole of Norway’s Santa, that’s one of the best things I’ve been to.

Over and out for the Mermaid

Last Saturday, as mentioned, the Mermaid had to leave the popular NRK competition.

When the mask was taken off, it turned out that it was Haddy N’jie (42) who was hiding behind the glittering costume, something celebrity detective Marion Ravn (37) had guessed during the broadcast. Viewers, on the other hand, had other suspicions.

As many as 36.7 percent of the viewers thought that it was Birgit Skarstein (32) who was the Mermaid. This despite the fact that the week before she had been in the audience during the “Skal vi danse” final on TV 2 – which took place at the same time as “Maskorama”.

14.7 percent of viewers guessed that it was N’jie behind the mask, while 3.1 percent guessed that Lene Nystrøm (48) was the Mermaid.

Seersuksess

“Maskorama” has proven to be a success for NRK, and season two has so far provided very good viewership.

Over one million Norwegian TV viewers watched the premiere, and just as many program two. Last week, «Maskorama» also smashed the new TV 2 initiative «Norway’s new megahit», which has taken over for «Skal vi danse», in viewership.

Over the weekend wrote VG that only 197,000 watched “Norway’s new megahit” live last Saturday, while 100,000 watched it on the streaming service TV 2 Play during the weekend. In comparison, almost 1.2 million watched «Maskorama».

– I am happy that “Maskorama” continues to gather and engage the audience on Saturday night. Being able to create this type of “campfire” for the whole family is important for NRK. I can promise that it is a lot of fun to wait in the next three episodes, so I hope the audience will continue, said NRK’s project editor Jan Egil Ådland in a comment to the newspaper.
