The fashion world mourns American designer Virgil Abloh. Abloh has died from the effects of a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Abloh’s death has been announced by luxury group Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. “We are all shocked by this terrible news. Virgil was not only a genius designer and a visionary, he was also a man of beautiful soul and great wisdom,” Bernard Arnault of LVMH said in a statement.
Abloh’s family reports that for the past two years he has battled cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare cancer in which a tumor affects the heart.
