Ted Bundy have the ability to trick their victims to be killed. Besides having a handsome face, Bundy also good at pretending.
Quoted from Murderpedia, Friday (11/26/2021) Bundy has various ways to gain the victim’s trust. At times, he pretended to be injured, wore a sling or put on a fake cast, as in the Hawkins, Rancourt, Ott, Naslund, and Cunningham murders.
Other times Bundy would disguise himself as an officer; he pretends to be a cop when he approaches Carol DaRonch. The day before he killed Kimberly Leach, Bundy approached another young Florida girl pretending to be ‘Richard Burton, Fireman’.
Bundy had a tremendous advantage because of his handsome face. In later years, he was often depicted as a chameleon, able to look very different with only minor adjustments to his appearance, such as growing a beard or changing his hairstyle.
All of Bundy’s victims were white women and mostly middle-class backgrounds. Almost all of them are between 15 and 25 years old. Many of them are students. In his book, Rule, biographer of Ted Bundy, notes that most of Bundy’s victims had long straight hair that was parted in the middle, as did Bundy’s lover, Stephanie Brooks.
