Bryan Adams gives positive to COVID for the second time

Bryan Adams tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday upon arrival at Milan’s Malpensa airport, ahead of the presentation of the 2022 Pirelli calendar that he photographed himself.

The Canadian rock singer revealed the positive result in an Instagram post in which he included a photograph of himself in a room after undergoing the test, and then sitting in an ambulance for a more reliable PCR test.

He was shown sitting calmly and wearing a surgical mask. “Here I am, just arrived in Milan, and for the second time in a month I have tested positive for COVID,” he commented in the post. “So I have to go to the hospital.” He thanked the fans for their support.

Adams, who also has a career as a photographer, has made the 2022 Pirelli calendar, having originally been hired for the 2021 version that was canceled due to the pandemic.

Adams was scheduled to appear at face-to-face press events to promote the calendar on Sunday and Monday, but now that’s uncertain.

The presentation of the Pirelli calendar is generally a gala event attended by those who appear in it and other personalities, but this year the number of guests to a nightly cocktail was reduced due to the pandemic.

Adams cast the calendar, called “On the Road”, to other musical talents, including Iggy Pop, Cher, Jennifer Hudson, Saweetie and St. Vincent.
