We now know the date of the store’s opening Costco from Pontault-Combault (Seine et Marne)! The American brand, specializing in mass distribution, will meet you on Saturday, December 4.
With this opening, the world number 2 in mass distribution continues to establish itself in France. This is its second store, after opening its first brand in Villebon-sur-Yvette (Essonne) in 2017.
In place of the former E.Leclerc
After a short year of work, the warehouse club Costco will be able to open its doors instead of the former E.Leclerc store, nestled in the Quatre Chênes shopping area. Why did you choose Pontault-Combault?
“It’s a question of opportunities for our demographic research. It is a very well served city and the living area is dense ”, affirms Gary Swindells, the president of Costco France.

Remember, Costco is a ‘destination’ store, meaning people come from far and wide to buy from us. This is why we needed a site well served in terms of roads.
Resto-club and garage
What will customers be able to discover in this new warehouse? In addition to so-called “classic” items, they will be able to benefit from some 500 new and seasonal items on the shelves of grocery stores, jewelry, electronics and household appliances, not to mention DIY or leisure items.
“Many organic and red label products are also referenced, as are many medal-winning products at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris”, abounds in the brand.
Like its other store in Essonne, the Costco de Pontault-Combault also offers services such as a hearing aid center, an optical center, a restaurant-club and a tire fitting center.
Become one of the “members”
Only “Costco Members” will be able to benefit from the products sold. To become one of them, you will need to subscribe to a club card at a cost of 36 euros per year.
To date, Costco has registered nearly 180,000 cardholders, both individuals and professionals.
Note that each membership before the store opens on December 4 will be rewarded with a gift voucher of 10 euros.

In total, 300 people are employed on the site. Some of them were recruited via a job-dating organized before the summer in Pontault-Combault.
We can only congratulate ourselves on the way things are done, summed up a short time ago. The local missions of the Paris-Vallée de Marne agglomeration community worked with Pôle emploi and the city services. The interest is that it is people from the territory who will work in this new brand.
The appointment is therefore made on December 4th!
