Amazing shots came from Mars – photo, video

Both NASA Mars orbits, Curiosity and Perseverance, also took special shots of the red planet. The former took a photo that fit the postcard, and the latter successfully videotaped his fellow researcher, the Ingenuity Mars helicopter, take off and fly – writes the Index.

Curiosity uses two shots from its navigation cameras from Mount Sharp. The photos taken on November 16 at 8:30 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. Although the probe is capable of taking color shots, the photo just released was post-painted by the team that managed the Curiosity.

NASA’s video below was taken by Perseverance on September 4, featuring the Mars helicopter accompanying the ground probe, Ingenuity, on the mission’s most complex flight to date.

Ingenuity had to fly over eight feet at varied terrain to take photos. The 1.8-kilogram helicopter took off, part of its flight and then landed with a device called Mastcam-Z from a distance of 300 meters in Perseverance.

Ingenuity took a total of ten high-resolution photos of the stony ground before returning to the takeoff point.
