Heracles Almelo-trainer Frank Wormuth is happy that his team can also win without Rai Vloet in the ranks. The attacking midfielder was involved in an accident on the A4 a few weeks ago, in which a four-year-old boy was killed.
“The team has seen that it can also win without Vloet”, says Wormuth in conversation with RTV East about last week’s victory over Fortuna Sittard (3-1). “That gives confidence.”
“Vloet was and is of course a very important player for the team. He was the difference and will be the difference again in our team. But the team has seen that they can win and so a burden has been lifted off the shoulders. the atmosphere was fantastic afterwards,” said Wormuth.
This weekend Heracles will compete in De Galgenwaard FC Utrecht. A tough one, Wormuth knows. “It is one of the best teams this season. Not only in the ranking, but also the players they have. The bench alone would already be basic players at Heracles.”
