How to Overcome Fatigue Symptoms in Post-Covid Syndrome Covid-19 Survivors

WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA We are grateful that the Covid-19 case in Indonesia has a very encouraging trend, even the implementation of restrictions on community activities or PPKM level has been lowered from level 2 to level 1 in several regions, including DKI Jakarta.

Nevertheless, maintaining and obeying the Covid1-19 health protocol by still wearing a mask, washing hands and maintaining a distance must be obeyed, so that the corona virus does not spread again.

Even though you have been vaccinated against Covid-19, that doesn’t mean you can’t be exposed. And if exposed, a person still has different risks depending on each condition.

Fatigue or fatigue is the most common symptom found in children post-Covid syndrome, even this complaint is still felt after 100 days of exposure to the corona virus.

In patients who had experienced severe lung conditions when exposed to Covid-19, such as: acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), two-thirds of them felt significant complaints of fatigue after a year of exposure to Covid-19.

Complaints that are felt are very similar to sindroma chronic fatigue/chronic fatigue.

Chronic fatigue consists of fatigue that makes the body helpless, pain, experiencing neurocognitive disabilities, sleep disturbances, symptoms of autonomic dysfunction, and worsening physical and cognitive conditions.

“Hypertension, obesity, and mental health disorders are some of the risk factors for someone experiencing diabetes post-Covid syndrome,” said Dr. Hikmat Pramukti, Sp.PD, a specialist in internal medicine Pondok Indah Hospital, Pondok Indah in its official statement quoted Antaranews.com on Saturday (27/11/2021).

Doctor Wisdom said the exact cause post-Covid syndrome is still being observed.

Some say that this symptom occurs due to damage to organs caused by the virus and residual inflammation that is still ongoing even though the virus is no longer present.
