In 2017, Eva Kristin Hansen was asked if she commuted to a different place than where she was tax resident. It was in Trondheim. A hitherto unknown e-mail shows that she failed to inform about the house in Ski.

Eva Kristin Hansen (Labor Party) has resigned as President of the Storting. Last week, it was revealed that she received free housing from the Storting for three years, even though she partly lived in Ski outside Oslo. She was registered in the dormitory with party colleague Trond Giske in Trondheim.
In the last week, the Storting’s administration and Hansen have stood against each other. The director believes she should not have had a commuter home, because she had a home less than 40 km from the Storting. Hansen claims she has not been told how the rules are practiced.
Now a hitherto unknown e-mail documents what Hansen answered when she was asked where she commuted to.
In February 2017, the administration asked her to answer whether she had her own home in her hometown. They also asked if she commuted to an address other than this one. The latter Hansen did not answer directly.
– I have a home in Trondheim that I fully dispose of, she wrote and did not mention anything about the semi-detached house in Ski.
