Weather: More IMMINENT SNOW, even the PLAINS are at risk! The Regions concerned shortly
Here comes the SNOW also ABUNDANT, even in the PLAINS*LAST UPDATE *
The latest calculations by the European Center have confirmed that a large snow load is imminent, with flakes that they can reach even the plains due to the arrival of cold air descending from the Arctic Circle.
But let’s go in order by analyzing all the details in order to better identify the affected regions and the expected accumulations.
Already from next hours weather conditions are expected in sharp deterioration, due to the arrival of an intense Atlantic disturbance which will cause not only so many rains, too abundant snowfalls on the northern reliefs, first on the central-western alpine sector, then also on the Dolomiti, where the name will go down to even lower altitudes than 1000 meters.
Towards evening we do not exclude that some flakes may also reach the lower Piedmont, up to around 400/500 meters, with the risk of whitewashing also for the city of Cuneo.
There will also be occasion for some beautiful snowfall on the Apennine ridge north-central, even if here the share will be much higher and on average close to 1600/1700 meters, down to around 1400 on Friday 26.
In weekend it will then begin to flow into our country even colder air, directly from the North Pole. Come on, the snowfall, as well as being more and more copious, will begin to affect much lower shares. Between Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th the white flakes will be able to go as far as the alpine valley floors, coming to whitewash cities like Aosta, Sondrio and Trento.
By the end of the event really abundant accumulations are expected over the entire Alpine arc above 1200/1500 meters: you can accumulate up to over 1 meter of snow on the mountains of Piedmont, Valtellina / Valcamonica (Lombardy) and Trentino.
On the Apennines the altitude is expected to collapse to below 800 meters, especially on Tuscany, Walk, Lazio e Abruzzo.
EYE TO THE PLAIN! – Be careful because, given the entry of very cold air and the intensity of the precipitation, we do not exclude that it may be created configuration favorable to bringing snow to the plains of Lombardy and Emilia Romagna.
