Santa Ana, Calif. (KABC) – Santa Ana winds blew across southern California overnight as power cut as thousands thanked for their efforts to contain the wildfire, with several large uprooted trees in residential areas.
The red flag warnings went into effect Wednesday morning and will remain so throughout Friday due to strong winds and very low humidity, the National Weather Service said.
Severe hurricane conditions toppled a large tree in North Hollywood overnight which crashed onto the roof of a house marked in red. Locals were shocked by the sound of the falling tree.
The person who lives there told Evidence News Off-Camera that he injured his leg while falling, but otherwise everything is fine.

In Westminster overnight, several fires may have spread as strong winds knocked down power lines and chopped down a tree.
A shed caught fire and the fire spread to other neighboring houses. Firefighters said it was a difficult night trying to protect power lines that fell while battling high winds.
Meanwhile, Santa Anas has brought the ability to shut off public safety electricity in high-risk areas to prevent forest fires from being caused by wind damage to electrical equipment or debris from power lines. .
