Princess Diana was the first to stray from the right path in her marriage to Prince Charles, even before his affair with Camilla, claims a former aide to the royal court.
The relationship of the latter two is one of the most talked about topics about the British family.
But Alan Peters says Prince Charles actually began his romance with Camilla after learning that Diana had an affair with bodyguard Barry Manaki.
He also points out that the revelation about the relationship between Lady Diana and her bodyguard comes from himself.
Their affair is believed to have begun in 1985 during a fishing trip to Balmoral.
A year later, Makani was transferred to the Diplomatic Defense Squad, where he died in a car crash at the age of 39.
The version that Princess Diana was the first to cheat was confirmed by Jonathan Dimbleby in a biography of Charles, published in 1994.
