Music – Lübeck – concert project on the Warsaw knee-fall canceled – culture

Lübeck (dpa / lno) – A German-Polish concert project originally planned for December 10 in Lübeck Cathedral on the kneeling of Warsaw has been canceled by the organizers. With 84 members in the choir, 81 orchestra members and 6 soloists, the project is too big for the current pandemic situation, the Lübeck University of Music announced on Thursday.

With the concert “December 7, 1970 – A Polish-German Requiem”, students from Poland and Germany wanted to commemorate Willy Brandt’s kneeling in front of the memorial for the heroes of the Warsaw ghetto. According to a spokeswoman, the performance of the work should have been one of the music college’s biggest projects in recent years.
