Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 5: American supercross for the fifth time [VIDEO]

Milestone brings in its Adaptation of Supercross every year, and it won’t miss a release in 2022 either.

The game has a pretty long name (really, maybe five times in a row with one air you can’t even say that Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 5?), But the Italian studio is trying to keep players engaged with more innovations. The Rider Shape System, the Future Academy, the Rhythm Section Editor, and the split-screen gameplay have made Milestone a blockbuster success by adapting sports that can be called American motocross. It’s a cross-gen game, so we’re happy to announce that the PlayStation 4> PlayStation 5 upgrade will be free, and on Xbox, Smart Delivery will always get the version for the console you’re using.

The career mode will be more realistic and will offer more immersion than the previous four acts. We start as an amateur in the 250SX Futures class, and in the end the goal is to be a champion as a pro. In the meantime, however, we need to consider the condition of our pilot, as our performance will deteriorate with the Rider Shape System. With workouts and completing certain tasks, we can recover quickly. The two-stroke engines are there in each game mode, and Future Academy will play the role of a tutorial so even truly novice players can master the basics. There will also be many in-game options (rhythm monitoring, treatment entry…).

The level editor won’t be left out either, but the new element will be the Rhythm Section Editor: you can combine prefabricated modules into individual sections, which can then be shared with the community of players. The track editing championship is also coming back, and the most successful track concept could be part of the official championship in 2022, so the real designers will be able to fight real bikers in real life and then win. There will also be the Compound with new tracks, challenges and collectibles; and multiplayer boosts with cross-gen matchmaking. You can also play locally on a split screen. The eSport approach is not far behind either.

A Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 5 will launch on March 17 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
