The German group recorded sales of € 554 million, up 10.2%.

The Berner Group is in good shape. In the first half of its fiscal year (April 1-September 30), the German company set two new sales records. The family-owned company increased its sales by 10.2% to reach € 554 million, “the highest half-year turnover in its history,” according to a press release. “With 107.9 M €, September was also the most important month of sales since the creation of the group in 1957.” On the trading activity (which includes construction, mobility, and industry), the group Berner recorded “extreme growth” of 14.5% from the previous year. In the construction segment alone, the increase was 14.3%.

New customers thanks to e-commerce

The press release also mentions the very good results of e-commerce. For three consecutive semesters, this channel has posted double-digit growth. “Between April and September, the group indeed increased its e-commerce turnover by 44%, against a little more than 21% in the same period last year. “For Arthur Jaunich, director of sales and marketing on the board of directors,” customers appreciated the reliability and user-friendliness of our electronic sales channels, during lockdowns. Word of mouth works, no other channel wins more new customers. The increase in the number of new customers is 11%, e-commerce turnover has doubled compared to the previous year and the share of e-commerce in total sales has increased to 15.2% ”.
