This new wave of the Covid-19 epidemic continues to progress in Pays de la Loire with increasing hospitalizations, particularly in Maine-et-Loire. 2- people died in a week
According to figures published by the Pays de la Loire Regional Health Agency on Tuesday, November 23, Maine-et-Loire remains the department most affected by this new wave of epidemic with an incidence rate (number of cases positive per 100,000 inhabitants) still increasing, to 249.7 (197.8 at the regional level and 180 at the national level).
In this same department, the number of hospitalizations has also increased, from 111 to 122 in one week (363 in Pays de la Loire, 22 more in one week).
Vendée and Loire-Atlantique are around 200 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Mayenne is at the bottom of the table with an incidence rate of 85.8. La Sarthe: 177.8.
However, intensive care hospitalizations remain stable, 77 in Pays de la Loire, but with differences from one department to another. There is an increase in Maine-et-Loire and a decrease elsewhere.
Since March 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused 2,948 deaths in hospitals in Pays de la Loire.
To this must be added 1,227 deceased EHPAD residents.
In France, the Covid-19 has killed 118,555 in hospitals to date.
