Bacary Sagna criticizes Manchester United fans’ expectations of Paul Pogba.
With a past in Arsenal and Manchester City, among others, Bacary Sagna has had an eventful football career. On the French national team, he was teammate with Manchester United profile Paul Pogba.
The latter has received a lot of criticism this season. In the humiliation against Liverpool, the midfielders were sent off after an ugly tackle on Naby Keita.
During the national team break, Pogba suffered a thigh injury, and will probably be out for the rest of the year. Some wonder if the Frenchman has already played his last game for Manchester United.
This summer, Pogba’s contract expires, and thus it is conceivable that the club will try to sell him in January, if he does not sign a new contract by that time.

Defender Pogba
In an interview with Metro Sagna believes that Pogba can benefit from changing clubs, at the same time as he criticizes the way he has been treated by the supporters of the club.
– I love Paul and the way he plays. I do not want to speak for him, but it seems that things have been a bit difficult between him and the fans at times, because they expect so much from him, says Sagna.
Pogba was on fire in the first league game against Leeds. The Frenchman delivered four goalscorers, and in the following match against Southampton, Pogba had another goal-scoring pass.
Thus, expectations were high for Paul Pogba after a fantastic start to the season. Since then, the form has gradually declined throughout the season.
– They want him to be perfect because he is so charismatic on the field and can create so much space that they want him to do everything. A bit like it is now with Ronaldo, says Sagna.
– Was disappointed
In the 0-5 loss against Liverpool at Old Trafford, Pogba was sent off and subsequently received a three-match suspension.
Pogba was among the United players who fell victim to massive criticism after the humiliation.
– Pogba got a lot of shut up for the expulsion. Yes, it was an ugly tackle, but he is trying to fight and get the ball back for the team, according to the former Arsenal profile.
The 28-year-old came into the break, but was sent into the shower by judge Anthony Taylor a quarter of an hour later.
– What do you want him to do, just stand and watch? People think he does not care, that he smiles, but those who know him know that he was disappointed.
– Love Manchester
There is excitement about where Paul Pogba will play next season. The speculation will never end.
The options are likely to be sold in January, extend the contract or to leave the club for free until the summer.
– I do not know if he belongs to Manchester United. I would like to see him shine in the team, because he loves Manchester, says Sagna.
The midfielder is likely to be injury-free in January. Whether Paul Pogba has played his last game in Manchester remains to be seen.
