PARIS – A manuscript with calculations made by Albert Einstein when he was trying to formulate his theory of relativity has been sold at auction for 11 million euros (Rp176 billion).
The sale at Christie’s auction house in Paris on Tuesday (11/23/2021) broke the record for a signed scientific document.

This is one of only two papers showing how the theoretical physicist worked in his great scientific breakthrough.
His theory, published in 1915, changed mankind’s understanding of space, time, and gravity.

The manuscript of the calculations was written between 1913 and 1914 by Einstein and his Swiss colleague Michele Besso, who preserved the document.
