The NFL team turned to the veteran earlier this month after the excellent Derrick Henry suffered a foot injury that required surgery.

In three games in the Titans’ uniform, the 36-year-old ran with the ball 27 times for gains of 82 yards and a touchdown.

Peterson was a free agent before agreeing to join the Titans. It will now be able to offer its services to the 31 other teams on the Goodell circuit.

In career, the NFL MVP of the 2012 season also wore the colors of the Minnesota Vikings (2007-2016), the New Orleans Saints (2017), the Arizona Cardinals (2017) , Washington Redskins (2018-2019) and Detroit Lions (2020).

He amassed an impressive 14,902 yards and scored 119 career majors.
