TEL AVIV, KOMPAS.TVIsraeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett indicated that his country was ready for a confrontation with Iran. Iran is accused of “having reached a sophisticated level of its nuclear program”.

Bennett ignored the nuclear negotiations that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) intends to bridge in Vienna, Austria on November 29.

Iran has agreed to return to negotiations over its nuclear program. Previously, Tehran violated an agreement made in 2015 after the United States (US) under President Donald Trump withdrew from the same agreement.

The stagnation of Iran’s nuclear negotiations also made the US impose sanctions and Israel sent a series of threats.

Earlier, Bennett said his government was ready to accept a new nuclear deal with tougher restrictions on Iran. However, now, Israel is said to be not bound by the nuclear agreement.

Although the negotiations in Vienna will be successful, Bennett said there is still the potential for confrontation with Iran.

“We are facing a difficult time. There may be disagreements with our friends, ”Bennett was quoted as saying Al Jazeera.

“However, even though there will be a new agreement, Israel is not included in the signatory group and Israel does not have any responsibility for the agreement,” he added.

Israel itself has threatened to bomb Iran over its nuclear program. The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) also flew bombers into the Persian Gulf to intimidate Iran in late October.
