Singer Lidia Buble was brought to justice on November 19, 2021 by DIICOT Ploieşti prosecutors along with three other people, two police officers and another man targeted in a drug trafficking investigation. It took Lidia Buble six minutes and five seconds, but also a lot of bad luck to get into this situation. On the night of February 15, 2021, long after midnight, the singer, behind the wheel of a car, was stopped in Bucharest by a crew from the road brigade. It was a routine check, except that Lidia did not have the proper documents and, in addition, she would have refused for the agents to test her with the breathalyzer test that night.

To escape the confusion, he called a friend to ask him how to proceed in such situations. The man was the one who taught her that she can escape the consequences of the law if she offers money to the police. The proposed amount was between 300 lei and 200 euros. Buble fell into the trap unknowingly, while prosecutors were very lucky, shooting four rabbits at once. The friend with whom Lidia consulted was suspected of being a drug dealer and spun by DIICOT Ploieşti. He had his phone intercepted, so the entire conversation in which the artist was advised to bribe the police was recorded.

According to the prosecutors, the telephone conversation took place on the night of February 15, 2021 between 02:55:30 and 03:01:35. The six minutes of discussions, in which Lidia was taught how much money to give to the police to escape the fine, were enough to incriminate her. Although prosecutors were pursuing a drug deal, they were fortunate to come across an instigation of corruption that resulted in bribery of police officers who, in exchange for money received from Buble, would no longer have complied with their duties. .

Lydia Buble’s problems
Lidia Buble had two problems for which she could have been sanctioned, prosecutors say. It was the period when you could not drive at night without a statement on your own responsibility, and the singer apparently did not have the document with her. In addition, she did not want to be tested with the breathalyzer. “The amount of money received by the defendants as a bribe was remitted by a defendant investigated in the case, both in order not to be tested with the breathalyzer and not to be sanctioned for misdemeanor because it did not have the statement on his own responsibility necessary for traveling at night during the establishment of the state of alert on the background of the COVID-19 panedemia, respectively he did not have the documents provided in art. 35 para. He acknowledged the facts
According to some judicial sources, Lidia Buble was summoned to the DIICOT Ploieşti headquarters three times, admitting the facts during the hearings. The sincere attitude is to her benefit because she goes to court with a big advantage. According to the law, the defendant who admits the committed deeds benefits from a sentence reduced by one third. Buble and her dialogue partner are being tried at large, while police officers are under judicial control and will most likely lose their jobs.
Lydia Buble is now on trial for bribery, and her friend is on trial for bribery.
DIICOT Ploieşti has made a name for itself over time due to a long list of celebrities involved either as suspects or witnesses, in heavy drug trafficking cases, including cocaine.
