Beginning Tuesday, November 23, the Parkland Hospital Health System will be offering booster shots against covid-19 for all persons 18 years of age or older who require it.
According to a statement from Parkland, the system’s community clinics located throughout the county will have vaccinations and patients must bring their vaccination cards to include the third dose in the registry.
Parkland patients with a MyChart account can make an appointment at any of these community clinics. If you need help with a MyChart account call 214-590-7000, Monday through Friday.
If you do not have a MyChart account, you can call that same number to schedule an appointment between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Saturday.
To receive the booster, at least six months must have passed since your first vaccination series if you received doses of Moderna or Pfizer. Patients who have received the Johnson & Johnson dose must have missed at least two months since their first dose.

Patients can also choose a different dose than the one originally received. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention supports this option.
