Chinese carmaker Great Wall Motors has introduced a new brand Saloon. The first car to carry it is the strange-looking Mecha Dragon electric car.

By the way, the Chinese took the name Mecha Dragon from the game series Mega Man. The carmaker then chose the Saloon brand for a new range of modern electric vehicles.
And if they are all as distinctive in design as the first representative, we probably have something to look forward to. The sloping rear end impresses with a rather flashy design full of edges, recesses and sports features, which include extended fenders, aggressive-looking front bumper, convex hood, various aerodynamics, fake vents, active rear spoiler, diffuser or fake tailpipes.
It’s probably too much, so the car looks like it came to the real world from a computer game. Or maybe a comic. On the other hand, the design is so unique and unique that you probably won’t find a similar car.

Moreover, in terms of dynamics, it will not be a sharpener. The drive is provided by two electric motors, the combined power reaches 405 kW and a torque of 750 Nm. That’s why Saloon got Michelin sports tires and Brembo brakes.
The battery with a capacity of 115 kWh is to ensure a range of about 800 kilometers (according to the Chinese CLTC methodology). Mecha Dragon can also charge 480kW, so according to the carmaker, it can charge enough electricity for about 400 kilometers in 10 minutes.
The manufacturer highlights advanced autonomous driving systems, which includes several cameras, four LIDARs, various radars and a number of sensors. In the cabin we find a dashboard with a huge display and digital instrument panel. And the seats also look interesting.
It is also remarkable that Saloon Mecha Dragon will be produced in a limited number, there are only 101 specimens. The price is to start at around 1.7 million crowns.
