JAKARTA – PT Pertamina (Persero), providing an explanation regarding the tariff for toilet facilities at gas stations which was conveyed by the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir.
“Toilet is one form of service at gas stations. We will re-socialize it to gas station owners to improve services to the community,” said Corsec Subholding Commercial And Trading Pertamina Irto Ginting to Okezone, Monday (22/11/2021).
Previously, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohit sentil the Pertamina board of directors who set the tariff for toilet facilities at gas stations. As one of the SOEs, Erick thinks Pertamina should be able to make it free.

“Why not free? Isn’t this a public facility?” he asked the toilet keeper, quoted from his official Instagram.
“I don’t know, sir. I’m just working, sir,” replied the toilet guard.

This toilet keeper works at a Pertamina gas station in Malasan District, Probolinggo, East Java. The man explained that the cost of Rp. 2,000 for urination and Rp. 4,000 for defecation or bathing was used for treatment costs.
