RMOLBANTEN The trend of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Tangerang City is reported to continue to increase.

Information compiled from the Health Office, it was recorded that from January to now there were 146 reported cases of DHF.
The Head of Disease Eradication and Control, Tangerang City Health Office, Harmayani, revealed that the increase in cases occurred starting from August with 9 cases, increasing in September to 12 cases and rising again in October with 21 cases.
“This is something that we must all be wary of. Because it can be a risk of death if it is not handled properly and quickly. So all parties must work together to be aware of it,” said Harmayani, quoted from the Tangerang City Government website, Monday (22/11).
Harmayani further explained, since October the Health Service has instructed a number of stakeholders. Starting from hospitals and health centers to coordinate with each other regarding case handling. Districts, sub-districts and health centers to work together to mobilize the community to improve the Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) and eradication of mosquito nests with 4M Plus.
“4M Plus, which is to monitor larvae in places that have the potential to lay eggs, drain or clean, close water reservoirs, utilize or recycle used goods to carry out a series of prevention of dengue mosquito bites,” he explained.
The Health Office has also appealed to immediately report to the Puskesmas in less than 24 hours if a case of DHF is found in its area.
“Furthermore, he was assigned to the Health Center to carry out inspections at the scene and take precautions to the surrounding area by carrying out PSN (Mosquito Nest Eradication) where larvae were found around the case. Thus, the spread of dengue was not sustainable,” he said.
Harmayani appealed to the people of Tangerang City to take care to prevent this dengue case, so that family members do not get bitten by the dengue mosquito.
“Keep the house clean, especially the eradication of mosquitoes in water reservoirs, must be carried out in each house by activating 1 house 1 larva monitoring interpreter (jumantik). Strengthen PHBS by paying attention to the cleanliness of the surrounding environment. take care,” he said. [ars]
