Middle Eastern man who flushed his wife with hard water to death was arrested at Soetta Airport

CIANJUR, KOMPAS.TV – The police managed to arrest Abdul Latief, a foreign national from the Middle East who was the perpetrator of pouring hard water on his wife, a resident of Cianjur, West Java, to death.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cianjur Police, AKP Septiawan Adi, said the man from the Middle East was arrested by the police at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta).

At that time, said Septiawan, the perpetrator was Abdul Latief when he was about to flee abroad, namely to his country of origin in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Septiawan said that the perpetrators were being investigated intensively by the police at the Cianjur Police Headquarters, West Java.

“The perpetrator has arrived at the Cianjur Police Headquarters, is currently undergoing an intensive examination. It is suspected that the perpetrator planned his actions to douse the victim using hard water, we will continue to explore the case,” said Septiawan in Cianjur, Sunday (11/21/2021).

Septiawan explained that Abdul Latief’s arrest was successful, with the right of cooperation from various parties.

“We are also coordinating with the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police to block the suspect’s passport number, so that it can facilitate the arrest,” said Septiawan.

“Airport officials reported that the suspect was arranging a departure to a country in the Middle East.”
