JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has officially set the 2022 provincial minimum wage (UMP) of IDR 4,453,935,536. The wages increased by Rp. 37,749 compared to the previous year.
DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the increase in the UMP was in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation.
And in accordance with the formula contained in Article 26 and Article 27 of Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages which apply to workers/laborers with a working period of less than 1 year.
“So, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage in 2022 has been set at IDR 4,453,935,536 (four million four hundred fifty three thousand nine hundred thirty five five hundred and thirty six rupiah),” said Anies, as reported by PPID, Sunday (11/21/2021).
After the stipulation of the UMP, the DKI Provincial Government requires entrepreneurs to develop a structure and scale of wages in their companies by taking into account the company’s capabilities and productivity as a guideline for wages for workers/laborers with a working period of 1 year or more.
The DKI Provincial Government, said Anies, will also supervise and provide administrative sanctions for entrepreneurs who do not fulfill the obligation to increase the UMP.
In addition to raising the UMP, the DKI Provincial Government has also implemented various other policies. Among other things, providing assistance in transportation services, providing food at low prices, and personal education costs.

Furthermore, Anies also promised seven easy living programs in Jakarta which are said to be able to help workers who may be dissatisfied with the increase in the UMP.
