Jakarta: Cholesterol is a waxy substance found in the body and in animal products such as meat, eggs, and milk. It plays an important role in the production of hormones, vitamin D, and bile needed to digest fat. It also gives strength and flexibility to cell membranes.
However, because cholesterol does not mix well with the blood, cholesterol is eventually transported by particles called lipoproteins, including low and high density lipoproteins (LDL and HDL). LDL is often called cholesterol bad, while HDL is good cholesterol.

4. Variety of desserts
Cookies, ice cream, and chocolate mousse are unhealthy foods that tend to be high in cholesterol, as well as added sugar, unhealthy fats and calories. Frequent indulgence in these foods can lead to weight gain over time.
Research has linked added sugar intake to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cognitive decline, and certain cancers.
5. Shrimp
Like all seafood, shrimp are high in omega-3 and omega-6 fats, making them healthy. However, shrimp also has the most cholesterol than fish or other seafood.
In 100 grams of shrimp, contained 252 cholesterol which is 84 percent of the total daily cholesterol requirement. For that, for people with high cholesterol should limit the consumption of shrimp.
