Congress studies, at the proposal of the PSOE and the PP, the possibility of changing the electoral law to be able to delay an election during an exceptional situation such as a pandemic, such as that of coronavirus, as it is not contemplated in the current regulations, according to what parliamentary sources have assured Efe.
In the subcommission of the Lower House for the reform of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, of the Electoral Regime (LOREG), there is an agreement between the PP and the PSOE to address this issue, which, in principle, could count with the support from other groups.
