According to him, it will remain something of a tourist attraction
The Earth will be something of a protected national park in the future and perhaps a popular space tourist attraction. That’s the view of Amazon and Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos.
He shared these thoughts during the Ignatius Forum 2021 about the future of space travel. During the discussion, the billionaire said that according to him one day on our planet even no people will be born.
“For centuries, most or many people will be born into space“Bezos pointed out at the forum.”This will be their first home. They will be born in colonies and live in them. They will be able to visit Earth the way we now visit Yellowstone National Park.“
Bezos stressed that the Earth is the most valuable planet and that it is up to us to protect it. However, he still believes that the future of humanity is not on her.
“It can support 10 billion people to some extent“he said, later adding:”The solar system can support a trillion people, and so we can continue to develop our civilization“.
He believes that taking action such as urgently improving Mars can alleviate much of the stress on our planet’s ecosystem.
