Apps » Spotify brings live lyrics to more markets

Spotify now shows more users live song lyrics: This function is currently available in the USA and is now being gradually rolled out in other markets. Where available, the function can be used on all platforms.

Spotify has started rolling out its feature called Live Lyrics in more markets. This feature has been available in the US since the beginning of this year. so quote Media reports the streaming service with a statement that Live Lyrics will now be rolled out globally in other markets. The display for lyrics that move synchronously with the music will initially be introduced in markets in South America and Southeast Asia, and users in India will also receive the feature.

As expected, the new function is not yet to be seen in Germany. Spotify gets the lyrics from Musixmatch and where they are available, the live lyrics can be used on all platforms, from iOS to Android, various consoles and televisions to Amazon’s Fire TV or Roku devices as well as on the desktop.

Spotify is running late

To display the live lyrics on the iPhone, the user has to swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Spotify is very late with showing the live lyrics. Apple Music did not do a brilliant job here either, since it has been offering this feature for some time.

To put it into perspective: A synchronous lyrics display is a function from the computer stone age, which was no longer rocket science at the beginning of the millennium. Why it is so difficult for modern streaming services here is completely a mystery.
