For seven years Vaidotas Žala and Saulius Jurgelėnas (replaced by Paulo Fiuza) in the Dakar Rally and the duo with Andrius Malnieks in the classic rally were decorated in the colors of “Agrorodeo”. However, as the company itself posts on its social account, it says goodbye to the team.
Although in 2022 An Agrorodeo advertisement will still remain on V.Žala’s car in Dakar, the team will no longer call itself by this name.
“Today we say, ‘Goodbye, Agrorodeo Dakar!’ The seven-year collaboration between Agrorodeo and racer Vaidotas Injury is over. Until now, we have been the main sponsor of the team of the racer V.Žala, the whole team has been named after us. This year we have given support to Vaidotas and we will go to Dakar symbolically in 2022. Dakar Rally ending 2016 Cooperation launched at the Dakar Rally. In November of this year, the Agrorodeo Dakar tour will no longer travel around Lithuanian cities. Brief history and achievements
Agrorodeo became a supporter of Vaidotas Damage in 2016, when it released the Lithuanian Bitutė in Dakar. Since then, V.Žala has had the financial means to constantly upgrade his car, and every couple of years he has switched to newer equipment: from Seat Leon Dakar Bitutė (2016-2017) to Toyota Hilux Kamanė (2018-2019), from Kamanės ”- to the Mini“ Baby ”(2020-2021). With the help of Agrorodeo, in 2018 V. Žala purchased a new sports car Škoda Fabia R5 to race in the Lithuanian Rally.
The team’s highest achievements in Dakar are 12th and 18th place. Also with Agrorodeo, Vaidotas and Andris became Lithuanian car rally champions twice in a row (2019 – 2020).
