Why LG, among others? I’m not bothered by anything. I just have DTS working without any problems so I don’t understand your comment…
Modern televisions (CX, C1 generations for OLED) do not have DTS support. This means that the LG TV itself cannot play multi-channel DTS sound, nor can it transmit it from other devices to eARC or the optical output. These TVs may be able to decode and play back/forward as stereo PCM two channel DTS, but more channels and bitstreaming just won’t work.
In other words, such a TV can never fully utilize a sound bar like this one with DTS.
This isn’t just LG, by the way. Panasonic, for example, also has this with modern TVs.
