Slovak hockey extra league HK Dukla Trenčín hired forward Denis Hudec and Martin Chovan, who have worked at the Bratislava Capitals club during the 2021/2022 season so far. Both will start in Wednesday’s match of the 16th round of the Tipos Extraliga against HC GROTTO Prešov. The Trenčín club informed about it on social networks.

Hudec so far he has played 353 matches in the highest Slovak competition in the jerseys of Dukla Trenčín and the Slovak “twenties.” He left Trenčín in 2019 to the Bratislava Capitals club. In the year 2021/2022 he had a balance of 3 goals, 3 assists, 4 penalty minutes and 1 plus point in 14 international IHL matches.

Defender Martin Chovan he has 493 starts in the Slovak extra league, in which he dressed in jerseys Skalice, Trenčín, Košice, Žilina, Nové Zámky, Detva and Poprad. In the 2021/2022 season, he scored 1 goal, 8 penalty minutes and 3 plus points in 14 IHL matches.

Following the recent deaths of striker Boris Sádecký and vice-president Dušan Pašek, the management of the Bratislava Capitals club has decided to end its activities in the IHL for the 2021/2022 season.

Ten players from the team have already found a new place of work. In addition to Hudec and Chovan, Dávid Buc, Roman Faith (both Michalovce), Samuel Fereta (Nové Zámky) and Jamie Arniel (Poprad) also went to the Slovak extra league.
