Only vaccinated people are still welcome in German public space | 1Limburg

Anyone who wants to refuel across the border from Limburg, do some shopping or have a bite to eat should take into account that from next week little is possible without corona vaccination.

The German state of North Rhine-Westphalia has given up and will ban unvaccinated people from restaurants and football stadiums, among other things.

leisure sector
The government of the region bordering Limburg, with the most inhabitants of all German federal states, wants to curb the rising number of corona infections. The restrictions for unvaccinated adults apply to the entire leisure sector, said Prime Minister Wüst. They go in next week.

Christmas markets
Then only vaccinated and cured corona patients (the so-called 2G rule) will still have access to, for example, Christmas markets. In case of a particularly high risk of contamination, for example at carnival or in discotheques, there is also the requirement for a negative test.

2G rule
According to Wüst, the corona situation in his state is ‘not as dramatic’ as elsewhere. But the situation in the intensive care units is ‘increasingly problematic’. He sees nothing in mandatory vaccinations, but does want to offer more tests and extra shots, German media report.

The 2G rule has already been introduced in several other German federal states.
