Within a new stage of the vaccination plan against COVID-19, from this Wednesday massive immunization days will begin in Guayas, Pichincha and Loja, with the purpose of reaching 85% of the inoculated population by the end of the year, he announced this Tuesday the Minister of Public Health, Verónica Garzón.

This Wednesday, in Loja, it will be inoculated at the Ciudad de Loja coliseum, from 08:00 to 16:00. On Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21, the immunization will take place at the General Rumiñahui Coliseum, in Quito, in the same time slot.
Meanwhile, in Guayaquil the vaccination day will be the weekend at the Cristóbal Colón school, on the Simón Bolívar boardwalk, at the Almirante Illingworth Naval Academy (ANAI), in both land terminals, in the Mall del Sol shopping centers, City Mall and Mall El Fortín, from 10:00 to 18:00.
In Durán you will also be vaccinated at the land terminal.
So far, according to the vaccinometer, 65.55% of the population from the age of five onwards has received the two doses against the coronavirus and 78.60% of said age group has the first vaccine.
To these massive vaccination points are added the medical brigades that visit some towns and the health centers of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).
“We call on citizens to go to any of these forms of vaccination so that we are all protected. We have a part of the population, especially young people between the ages of 18 and 24, who have not yet received their vaccines. We want to make an appeal to these young people, we think that perhaps you do not get sick, because you have a good immune system, but what happens if you take the virus home, “said Garzón.
