ANTALYA – Indonesian National Team against Afghanistan in a test match at Gloria Stadium, Antalya, Turkey, Tuesday (16/11/2021), evening WIB. Garuda’s squad lost dramatically 0-1.
The course of the match
First round
Both teams tried to attack each other since the first half began. The tempo of the game was quite fast, but Afghanistan was able to show a slightly better ability at the beginning of the match.
After a few minutes, Indonesia was able to show a much better style of play than before. Although Afghanistan was able to control the ball better, Indonesia created more chances.
In the 23rd minute, Afghanistan almost took the lead by firing a shot that aimed at the Indonesian goal. However, Muhammad Riyandi was able to carry out his duties well.
When 15 minutes before the first half ended, Afghanistan again controlled the game. The Indonesian defense line also has to work extra to be able to repel the opponent’s attack.
Even so, no goals were created in the first half of the match. Indonesia and Afghanistan also drew 0-0 until halftime arrived.
Second round
In the second half, the tempo of the game did not change much. Afghanistan was able to control the game as a whole, but Indonesia was able to show a good performance as well.
Several opportunities were created for Indonesia in the second half. Unfortunately, the Garuda Squad is still having trouble penetrating the Afghan defense line so it cannot complete the opportunity optimally.
In 15 minutes before the match ended, Indonesia was able to perform better than before. Indonesia is able to penetrate Afghanistan’s defenses.
However, in the 85th minute, Afghanistan was able to break the deadlock after Popalzay fired in a goal. As a result, the Garuda squad was left behind 0-1.
Until the end of the match, no additional goals were created. Indonesia also lost dramatically 0-1 to Afghanistan.
